Getting started

Install fast, then run the self-check.

    Download Opaq and move it into Applications.

    Grant Screen Recording permission and reopen the app if macOS asks.

Privacy and provider model

What stays local and what uses providers.

Saved sessions live on the Mac. Live transcription and answer generation can still use managed providers.

Opaq manages provider access. The desktop app never asks you to paste Anthropic, Deepgram, or OpenAI keys.
